Help Grow Loli

Why We Exist

Hawaiʻi imports more than 90% of its food.

At the same time, farmers struggle for visibility, volunteers struggle to find opportunities, and community members often don't know how to participate in local food systems.

We believe a more resilient Hawaiʻi begins with relationship.

Loli exists to connect people to local farms, food, events, volunteer opportunities, and the stories of the people feeding our islands.

What We're Building

Loli is creating the digital and community infrastructure that makes it easier to participate in Hawaiʻi's local food movement.

WHY NOW

Food security, local agriculture, and community resilience have never been more important.

Yet many people who want to support local food simply don't know where to start.

Loli helps create that pathway.

Our Funding Goal

We are currently raising $30,000 to support the next phase of development.

Funding will support:

  • Website development and technology

  • Farm visits and documentation

  • Photography and storytelling

  • Legal and administrative setup

  • Community outreach

  • Grant development

  • Founder capacity to build and steward the project

THE SOIL UNDER LOLI

My relationship with food and land did not begin with this project. It began generations ago. As I learned more about my genealogy, I became increasingly interested in the ways people shape the places they steward, and the responsibility we carry to future generations. That curiosity eventually led me to Hawaiʻi's farms.

There, I met farmers, ranchers, and food producers working tirelessly to nourish our communities, often without the visibility and support they deserve. At the same time, I met countless people who wanted to participate in local food systems but didn't know where to begin. Loli was born from that intersection.

Loli exists to help reconnect people to the land, the people who grow our food, and the relationships that make a thriving food system possible. Because I believe a more resilient Hawaiʻi begins here.
